Do you know that ZDnet has a Singapore IT salary report every year? Here is some of the summary for the 2008 reports:
Degree:
- PhDs pulled in the highest average annual salary of S$96,805 (US$70,958),
- Master's degree who earned an average yearly pay of S$79,635 (US$58,373).
Functions:
- application development: S$66,145 (US$48,484)
- desktop and software management: S$58,772 (US$43,080)
- managing operating systems: S$53,437 (US$39,169)
The survey suggests that Singaporeans looking for the best remuneration should strive to:
* be a full-time IT manager, at a company with more than 1,000 employees;
* hold a PhD degree, with skills in enterprise application;
* own IT certifications that include Project Management Professional (PMP), and Certificate Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP); and
* have more than 10 years of experience in consulting and business services.
Too bad, no full report, but the full report for 2007 is available.
For example, in that report with a figure as above, listed the IT salary comparisons across the countries. And you can see that Hong Kong rank 1, followed by Singapore, then Thailand (surprise!). Hope you find these information useful.
